A time of great revival

It was the best of times…it was the worst of times… Channeling Dickens here I guess, but that is how I am thinking about the matter.

I’m going to focus on the best of things. And that is that people are taking charge of their own health. Is that you? Or are you still struggling?

If you’re struggling, it might be because things have been made out to be way too complex. They don’t have to be.

To make progress, you need to focus on the basics and do them well.

A great basketball coach, Coach Wooden, focused first on players tying their shoes correctly. That’s called focusing on the fundamentals.

Likewise, to get started with your physical endeavors, you start by building into the 30 minute daily brisk walk and then increasing your step count up to 10,000 steps.

When you do this, and build it into your program, you create options for yourself. Now you can hit the weights. Now you can work more on higher intensity activities.

You’ll feel better. You’ll look better.

Of course diet is involved, but you can be simple here, too. One key? Lower your sugar to below 30 grams per day. Just make it happen. Another key? Vegetable intake. The old meat and salad no bun is a great way to do this.

I want you to understand how simple this stuff can be if you’ll conjure up a bit of discipline.

To cap off this message, here is a recent YouTube video discussing the forthcoming revival:
